Pockets On Your Shirts and Skirts!

Pockets are so in If you could have pockets on your belts I am sure people would (okay maybe that is taking it a little too far.) Here are few pointers on how to evolve from wearing pocket protectors and leaping into fashion forward outfits with pockets.

Firstly, lets focus on casual shirts (with pockets of course)
See that little pocket? Cute right?
Its great for the beach and just hanging out with friends.

DRESS IT UP: With a military style shirt or jacket. military stiled clothes are filled with pockets, pockets, and more pockets.

Pockets in a skirt (or dress) not only makes you look good but it serves a great purpose! (where else are you gonna put your lipstick?)

Fancy Pants! :)

Do those pants really fit you? MUFFIN TOPS! When did those get here? Finding the perfect pant for your body shape can be tricky. Here are some tips:
- Buy big
- Belts, belts, and more belts!
- Shop around
-Pair with a shirt that complements your figure and the look your going for.

Firstly your jeans will definitely shrink.(I know when your buying them you tell yourself you just wont put them through the dryer, which almost no one sticks with, because jeans with out the softness of dryer sheets just are not worth wearing.) In my case my jeans shrink until they are too short to wear but many people should also be aware of their jeans shrinking at the waste. I have the perfect solution, buy your jeans loose (maybe one size too big in the waste area) but make sure the fit in the bum area is still perfect. Then pair with the perfect belt.

Makes your waste appear super thin

Tiny belts for a tiny pop of color

Studded belts (for the very chic punks out there)

Shopping, shopping,  shopping! You love to shop so you might as well do it right. The mall is your best bet for this next trick. The plentiful amount of shops let you try on as many pairs of pants as you can handle. Pick out your fav.'s from each shop (keeping the tips above in mind) and put them on hold (most stores will hold them for the afternoon.) Go back and purchase the pants that fit you the best. This may seem like a lot of running around but it will pay off in the end. (Besides who doesn't need to walk a little more these days, I know I do!)
Stores That Have Good Size Selection:

So with all these tips I'm sure you will make the right pant choice. but what are you going to do when those pants fit you a month ago when you bought them but now they are a bit snug or your bloated now? Layer your outfit with the right shirt and TADDA! Problem fixed until you can hit the gym.

                                                                                   Layered tanks

Long shirts

Long shirt with elastic belt

Layering your clothes is a good way to hide your tummy a bit. The first shirt should be a bit tighter to squeeze you in.(Just not so tight it  creates flabby wrinkles. ;D) Also the first one should be brighter if you want to wear a darker color to thin you out. The colorful shirt or tank will brighten the whole out fit.
Long shirts are really good for making the torso area appear long and slender. A shirt that flares out at the end is perfect for this.
Looser shirts may seem like it would make you look like you are hiding in your clothes. But if you use an elastic belt just under the bust area it draws attention to your small waste instead of your hips. In return people will think that you are showing of your thin waste (which you should) not hiding anything, like your hips.

Is Gold the New Black?

As summer fades away and we get closer and closer to fall. All of the bright and luminous colors of our wardrobe fade away. Okay maybe not, metallics are back this fall! Take out your favorite gold (don't forget to throw in a little silver here and there too) accessories, clothes, and make-up.

Spruce up your outfits with gold accessories. Try Toms Wedding Styles Gold Glitters or Silver Glitters to keep things cool. Bring back old favorites also so you don't spend too much.

As fall fashion hits the run ways once again it brings warm metallic colors with it. Jason Wu brings this gorgeous dress to the fall 2010 runway with subtle gold metallics.
Your make up can make or break an outfit. You're make up should enhance your look not over power it. Make sure you're eye shadow and eyeliner are cohesive with the look you are trying to pull off. I would not recommend wearing green eye shadow with gold accents (exception: St. Patty's Day). Gold, black, and even navy blue would go with a fall outfit with metallic colors. To make your nails stand out as a nice accent to your outfit try some thing bold.
